Charles Krug Winery

Inside Charles Krug Winery, one of the first tasting rooms in Napa Valley.

Built in 1872, there is a lot of history surrounding Charles Krug Winery. In fact, Charles Krug opened the first tasting room in California. The Charles Krug Winery is dedicated to producing the finest Bordeaux style wines in the Napa Valley. The winery spans a total of 850 acres and is exceptionally beautiful having undergone a nine-year, $22 million investment program completed in 2010.

We started our tour exploring the property while sipping on a varietal of whites and reds, eventually making our way into the barrel room and finally the upstairs room. The entire experience was wonderful and the winery is well-worth visiting during a trip to the Napa Valley.
