5 Beach Vacation Essentials You Shouldn’t Leave Home Without

Packing can be difficult. Be sure to take all the things on this list for your next beach vacation.

I’ve just returned from an amazing week on Ambergris Caye in Belize. During my time there, I started putting together a list of every critical item to have when traveling to beach destinations. Some things I brought, some others brought, but either way I left with a better idea of every necessary item to travel with when going to a beach destination. Here are your beach travel essentials.

Bluetooth Speaker

Be the hero of any trip when you bust out your nifty little bluetooth speaker for some beach jams. Just imagine relaxing on some white sand beaches listening to your favorite tunes. There are so many options out there but I strongly suggest getting a speaker that is waterproof. While you might pay a little more than a non-waterproof speaker, you are really saving it from damage and other elements. I suggest the Sharkk 2o Speaker or this floating waterproof speaker.

Multifunctional Bag

I’m a huge fan of Lo & Sons and after I recently picking up the Catalina Weekender bag, I have become more and more obsessed, finding multiple uses for it. I brought the bag to Belize and so glad I did. It was a beach bag, a throw-all-my-camera-gear-in bag, a day bag and a total lifesaver bag when I arrived at the airport and my luggage was overweight. I took a bunch of items out of my suitcase and put them in my Lo & Sons bag and carried that on the plane.

High Quality Hair Products

I recently discovered HASK Purifying Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner and was so relieved that I brought the Hask products on my trip. One thing I’ve learned from traveling to small beach communities is the availability of goods, or lack there of. I rarely like the hair products hotels supply so I always bring my own. In humid weather, my hair looks as if I stuck my finger in an electric socket – or worse, as my friend describes it, Dana Carvey in Wayne’s World. Not a good look. Luckily, high quality, deep conditioning and purifying products really go a long way! I suggest the HASK Purifying Charcoal line because the charcoal removes build-up and impurities left in the hair resulting in silky, smooth hair.

Waterproof Phone Case

To some this might be a no brainer but to others it may seem like a nonessential. Trust me – get a waterproof phone case. I’ve used everything from the Lifeproof case to one of those waterproof phone bags. The bag is great if you don’t want to use it all the time and you can also throw other things in there like cash, credit cards, etc. While I use both interchangeably, I wholeheartedly suggest having at least one or the other.

Pool Floatie

Bringing a pool floatie on a trip is much easier than you’d probably think. Sure, you’ll have to blow it up once you get there but just imagine floating in the pool with a fun floatie like a pineapple or even better… a giant swan!
