I’m a Southern California native who once upon a time decided to enter the world of New York City finance. I survived four years as a cubicle dweller working in corporate marketing for a private equity firm. Over time, I began to realize that I was living out someone else’s plan. This was not the life that I envisioned for myself. So, in September of 2013, I quit. I booked a ticket to Bangkok and started to travel around Southeast Asia – solo.
I took the money that I had spent the last few years saving and used that to fund my travels while always working as a travel writer and running a digital design studio – entirely from the road.
As a former cubicle dweller who felt chained to a desk in a career that I truly didn’t love, I know what it’s like to be sitting in a 9 to 5 daydreaming of some place elsewhere. I created this space on the Internet in hopes of inspiring others to not settle for a life they don’t love, to take chase after the career they want and live an extraordinary life.
